Ransom Alpha couldn't touch me as amazingly he didnt have any drones or other anti-frigate defence. As soon as I started into his shield I just knew that I was going to pwn him. He started yacking in local how this wasn't his PvP character etc etc. But it was too late. I wanted a rupture kill in my rifter.

I also wanted his pod.

Trapped and almost killed

Ach another day, another victim.

This time me.

Lucius and I were hunting and came back empty handed to Gusandall when we spotted an ares from RLE. I smelt like a trap to be honest but I nipped over there to check it out. Nothing - as I was leaving the Ares appeared and scrambled me. Oh dear.

The punisher re-acquired and I let loose and managed to strip the ares of its shields and started to eat into its armour. However, this is the infamous 'bleeder' setup so it was designed to outlast CRUISERS and not take down nippy interceptors in one or two volleys.

Local filled up just as Lucius warped into my belt - he was soon followed by a brutix, a thorax and a stabber.

Oops.

Famed Bleeder tank or not, the punisher lasted another 8 seconds before the pod popped out. My crew all died. They didnt get the pod though and I managed to get out.

Soon after, a deimos piloted by Xavoc came in and took all four on. He destroyed the Brutix while the other RLE pilots ran away.

I had to lick my wounds and wait.

Gah.

A nice mark.

After a good night's rest, I logged in back in - already the need for a kill was growing. I wanted to kill someone. Strapping into the rifter it was time. I patrolled and within a jump - spotted Ms Insomnia. She was ratting but I missed her first time. She and I played cat and mouse over the next hour or so. Chatting and warping. I knew that if I kept her talking I could take advantage of her mistake. She finally did.

The locked and scrambled her and then webbed her after slamming my afterburner into the red. She had a heck of a shield tank but the EMP rounds chewed through it. My shield was gone already to her missiles but her arties were useless against me. I continued to pummel her armour and then hull as my autocannons spat death. All she could reply while webbed was use her missile launcher at me.

Her rifter shuddered and then cracked wide open as the last of my EMP round penertrated her reactor.

I snagged her pod too. That was a good kill.

Flushed and elated I was about to retire but decided to do one more circuit of the triangle. Sotrenzur is the home or hangout of MEAN CORP so pickings would be slim but this time, there were some strangers there. I spotted two rifters and scanned them down to two belts. The clock was ticking towards the New Year too. Yaaarr!!

125mm T2

Amazingly, in the hours as it marched towards the New Year there were lots of pilots still logged on. I came across a spluttering wreck near a planet and decided to investigate it. The wreck was from someone's destroyer and it appeared to be unlooted. Interesting.

Local was empty apart from me but I still exercised caution and approached the wreck, making sure that it would not blow up in my face. When the salvage bots came back; I was delighted to be able to cut out from the wreck a brace of 125mm T2 autocannons. What a find!

I quickly redocked and fitted them onto the rifter - some adjustments to the targetting but that was all ok.

Wanting to try them out I undocked and ratted for a bit - the tracking was excellent but the hitting power still not as good as the 150mm but it did mean I could use barrage projectiles. Those things are evil.

Oof came into local in a slasher and started ratting. I waited until I knew he would be engaging rats then warped into the same belt as him. The sweet sight of the small white square bracket in my overview, the sound of the targetting computer obtaining a lock - all beautiful.

The slasher disappeared under a hail of EMP and Barrage projectiles. Here's the result:
